shabu shabu

Le shabu shabu est comme la fondue chinoise. Son nom ''shabu shabu'' est une onomatopée, celle du bruit de la viande qui cuit dans un bouillon très chaud. Le shabu-shabu traditionnel utilise de fines tranches de bœuf avec les légumes.

しゃぶしゃぶは、薄（うす）く切（き）ったお肉（にく）や野菜（やさい）を入（い）れた鍋物（なべもの）で、この名前（なまえ）は、肉（にく）を煮（に）る際（さい）に「しゃぶしゃぶと泳（およ）がす」ところからつけられたそうです。

Shabu Shabu is a hotpot dish with thinly sliced meat and vegetables. The name “shabu-shabu” comes from the sound made when swishing thin slices of beef in the hot broth.
