Le temple de maneki neko (maneki neko temple)

Voci Gotokuji, le temple de maneki neko. Naotaka II, le seigneur du district d' Hikone( a présent dans la préfecture de Shiga), était content parce qu' il s'est approche d'un chat assis qui semblait l'appeler avec sa patte dans le temple et a decidé de s'y reposer. Quand l'orage est arrivé, grace à ce chat, il a evité le mauvais temps et a pensé que c'était un porte bonheur. Sa tombe est dans ce temple.

これは、豪徳寺（ごうとくじ）にある招（まね）き猫（ねこ）で、招（まね）き猫（ねこ）の発祥地（はっしょうち）です。江戸時代（えどじだい）の大名（だいめい）だった井伊直孝（いいなおたか）が寺（てら）の飼（か）い猫（ねこ）が手招（てまね）きをしたため、寺（てら）で一休（ひとや）みすることにしました。その後（ご）雷雨（らいう）になり、「猫（ねこ）が招（まね）いてくれたおかげで、ずぶ濡（ぬ）れにならずに済（す）んだ。これは縁起（えんぎ）がいい。」と喜（よろこ）んだそうです。ここに彼（かれ）のお墓（はか）があります。

Here is Gotokuji temple known as the maneki neko temple. Naotaka Ii, a feudal lord from Hikone(a city in present-day Shiga Prefecture) passed by the temple and he saw a cat that beckoned him to come into the temple.The lord decided to stop by the temple. Soon after, a thunderstorm came by, and he became thankful of the cat's deed. He was buried in this temple after his death.
